"If I can’t recall your domain name and I can’t spell your domain name and if your domain name has no meaning and you have no real brand - how can I become a repeat vistor?"

You bookmark the page, same way that 95% of the internet population remembers sites they want to continue to visit.

AJ Quote: "If I can’t recall your domain name and I can’t spell your domain name and if your domain name has no meaning and you have no real brand - how can I become a repeat vistor? how can I tell a friend or someone on the street how to find you? Simple. I can’t. "

I like your analogy AJ. In the music business we use to say "if you can't whistle the hook...forget about it". Keep it simple and reach the masses.

This is an important signal.
This represens a move back to common sense - descriptive and generic domain name where the domain name explains the site's purpose.

Hopefully this is a sign that the Web 2.0 silliness with the funky fonts and the cool, crazy, meaningless, seemingly misspelled, and downright immature domain names should be waning. If I can't recall your domain name and I can't spell your domain name and if your domain name has no meaning and you have no real brand - how can I become a repeat vistor? how can I tell a friend or someone on the street how to find you?
I've been keeping an eye on this arena for a while and I've seen netRocket garner some solid praise early on. There's a lot of promise to what this crowd is doing and it will certainly be interesting to see how this domain purchase comes into play. It looks like they are very forward thinking so I wouldn't be surprised if they climb the ladder quickly.
