DNForum Makes Enticing Offer to Domain State Members
With the status of the domain chat forum, Domain State, up in the air, DNForum owner Adam Dicker announced a special limited time offer to members of Domain State who may not be a member of DNForum. In a DNForum thread today, Dicker posted, “For 1 week we are offering a FREE platinum membership for all Domainstate members.”
Platinum forum members have the ability to participate and post sales threads and have access to other areas of the forum not accessible to lower tiered Gold members. Since registration is free on Domain State, this offer could be used by virtually anyone who wants to have the Platinum access but doesn’t wish to pay for it.
Let’s hope Dicker and the moderation team at DNF keep an eye on who registers on the forum for free as a result of this offer to prevent scammers and thieves who may use this offer as an opportunity to get a free upgraded membership.

Interesting move. Does that mean this offer is only for non members of DNForum.com who are current members of domainstate.com?
Is it off limits to people are members are both but have a lower package?
If you are looking for opportunity to upgrade your membership for free because of a promotion, does it make you a scammer or thief?
Perhaps it makes one a bargain hunter!

Of course not, but the fee was probably a deterrent for some scammers who didn’t want to give a credit card number (or possibly pay).

Extreamly important point that I had not thought of when first heard the news about the membership upgrade…. What makes dnforum so great is it’s members whom we have all come accostomed how to judge in our own ways… The membership fee has always been a good thing there, and has worked in that forum particulary because of the selling and trading… I don’t recall coming across a forum where the fees have worked so well while making as much sence as they do there, for me at least.

Hello, I am a former moderator on dnf, and an Exclusive member, but I can not see why Dicker wants free-loader members. It may make his site more active, but it may also make it a free-loaders paradise.
