The folks at HomeAway.com are not afraid to plunk down huge sums of money for quality generic domains. I've sold them at least 6 domains in the past for generic domains, one that comes to mind is VacationRentalSpecial.com.

The are top notch in my book!

Elliot,

I think HomeAway wants BedandBreakfast.com's technology to roll out to the Vacation Rental Market. It is easier to buy than build!

BedandBreakfast.com not only has a robust fee-based listings platform, they also have a property management system (Rezovation) built for B&Bs that would probably be perfect for VRBOs. Webervations, their booking engine, might also be good.

This will be fun to watch. I wrote more about this at http://ow.ly/1dWI5
