Good sale.

I have 5 flowers domains and have refused some pretty big offers so far.

I want some BIG dough for domains like VIPFlowers.com etc.

:)

EB,
Would you list your dn’s on Sedo or Afternic for a better return?

@ RC

Neither… I do better on my own searching for buyers… but you might want to list on both.

Hi Elliot,

PodNova.com sold for $90,000 on Sedo this week, I own PodNovo.com. What do you think?

I have AmericanFlowers.com and that was a very close domain. I wonder if I can get similar offer for it?

@ Elliot = Thanks for posting your regular ‘state of the market’ sales listing, its interesting to see whats selling and for how much.

TO the people who sell lots of domains:
What are your top 5 domain selling venues (and why)? I know that some places have overlaps in their listings because they are owned by the same parent co, so to save time Id love to have a concise list of like 5 no-overlap venues to sign up to and list domains for sale in order to get the widest buyer coverage with the least hassle, and obviously the least commission is good too.

Im toying with the idea of selling a chunk, maybe 25-50% or so, of my holdings so I can concentrate on developing the (what I consider) best of the names I have. Having a few extra $ to throw into their development would help bunches.
So far Ive not really been into *selling* domains, just buying them, sitting on them, dropping the worst lemons and developing the ones I can. My rent and permoparty is paid for by profits from developed websites, not domain sales – thats why I want to concentrate on development from now on really.
I have a few lemons listed on sedo and godaddy auctions but so far (unsuprisingly) theyve just sat there.

Appreciate your time anyone who wants to answer that :)

Looking at it from a buyers point of view, you can still get good domains at a good price esp. in .net and .org

@ Uzoma

If the sold name has special meaning, it might be tough to sell, although it could potentially be a typo? Either case it may be worth contacting the buyer directly or emailing the support contact at Afternic to see if they’d broker it.

@LindaM – it really depends on the name. Sedo is likely a better venue for ccTLDs, for example. Generally it doesn’t hurt to have them listed at multiple venues, but if you have a portfolio of domains you want to sell, you could try boxcar.

@AD – Thanks for that – boxcar is new on my radar, I’ll go check it out.
I’d like to add that Im not at all *desperate to sell* and Id much rather hold onto and renew names I think have potential than let them go for firesale prices. Its just that right now Ive got hundreds of ok and a few good domains across half a dozen registrars sitting doing nothing, waiting for me to either develop or drop them, or the small chance of someone making an ad hoc offer. Some are not even properly parked, like the mazda out front heh.
I want to concentrate now on my 1 or 2 GREAT domains (meaning I WANT TO WORK ON 241.TV yayy!) having some fresh cash would totally rock my world and let me invest properly in it.
I feel I may as well list the bulk of the rest for sale as widely as is reasonably possible and see what (if any) offers I get.
My domain portfolio, like me, is quite chaotically managed :)
