DomainMarketplace.com Launched by Internet REIT
I haven’t heard anything from or about Internet REIT in a while, but I received an email this afternoon from Lisa Box who is Vice President of Sales for iREIT. Lisa wrote to let me know about the launch of DomainMarketplace.com, a website that has iREIT-owned domain names for sale:
I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to let you know we have recently launched www.domainmarketplace.com! Here you can search the iREIT inventory and buy directly from the site. We are still testing…”
If you don’t know about Internet REIT, you can learn more about the company on its LinkedIn page. They received funding from Maveron, were a big buyer of domain names a couple of years ago (I see several names I previously owned in this new website), ran into trademark issues, and their domain names receive millions of visitors each month.
DomainMarketplace.com has domain names priced from as low as the $50 range all the way up to 7 figures for OfficeSupply.com and Netster.com. It looks like they would also consider offers on their domain names as well.

@ Alan
They’ve been selling their names privately for a while not on this site.

Domainmarketplace.com is also listed at around 541K as a premium.
Every big portfolio holder including FS who does not want to part with his names for a life time is trying to create alternate sales channels to get rid of some of their names.

What they have in the home page makes me not want to look deeper at their inventory. Is that the best they’ve got?

All the good stuff was scooped up Id say 1-3 yeaqrs ago. They sold very foolishly, LLL for $7k at a time they were $15k on the forums, very odd events there a couple years ago.

I would like to say this again — very sad names
Peter’s point is very valid. Why would anyone look deeper if they cant even feature some decent names on their home page – regardless of the price. Its about attracting interest on the home page not showing your junk.
Another example of a company trying to pawn off names on other suckers.
I like the popular domain tab

Popular to who …??
Oh well

Surprised to see this news. Last time I visited the iREIT website the Contact Us didn’t work. I guess they are having a fire-sale to unload assets.

Looks like they pick the prices out of a hat;
barbeque.net – $6k
travelercentral.com – $44.7k
Wonder how they would explain that?

Some good ones but on the whole not that interesting, I’m surprised they have so many .info, .nets and .orgs, I thought ireit were all about traffic generating names ?
1-apersonalloansdebtcreditcardsloansdebtcredit.com at $1,178 is (to me) the worst one by far, hmmm, did someone mention Pigeons?

Yeah, some of those valuations are ridiculous.
I know estibot isn’t always reliable, but even they are valuating
1-apersonalloansdebtcreditcardsloansdebtcredit.com at $0 and I think they’re bang on.

If some of the names are selling for such high figures….then I must be a millionaire!
