I don’t know what to tell you. I think anyone who invests in domain names should make that small investment to have access to good information from a variety of sources. I imagine many people have memberships there since that’s a requirement of selling, and there seem to be a lot of rookies selling there :)

It has certainly helped me regarding my learning curve. One member actually told me that when they started domaining years ago he was helped along and so they are now paying back to the newest generation. With a community like that along with Elliotsblog and DomainSherpa and many of the other excellent online resources it feels like a very welcoming industry to be venturing into!
