Nice purchase Elliot. What a great name. I especially like your self interview.
I’m sure you are already aware of the free PR sites, but here is a quick list of a few I have used with success in the past. You may want to submit this release through these sites if you get a chance. It will help drive up mentions online and help with your inbound links. By the way, I am in no way affiliated with any of them.

Let’s see…….you announce a great acquisition and the launch of another $$ maker site…..on the same day that your former employer continues to get pummelled in the stock market…………..are you sure you’re not second-guessing your decision to leave the corporate world?
Sincere congrats.

Elloit,
Congratulations on the new geo. Top Notch indeed.
I am travelling in Southern Europe this week. In Florence right now. There is definitely a large potential for more growth in European and international geodomains. Doing a bit of research while I’m here. The one thing I cannot wrap my fingers around is the TLD and language tradeoff. Obviously, buying the “.com” is perfect for the english translation and will be the prime site for english travellers (and other languages if you offer them), but I’m trying to figure out how much “local” presence can be made, or even if there is much extra money in the “local” side versus the “destination” side. It will be very interesting to hear your feedback as you grow the site.
Best of luck with the domain. I’m hoping we are able to do something similar with an international destination domain at some point. Would love to compare notes if it gets to that.
Regards,
Conor

Love it! A domain that is globally known. A lot of brains have that name already hard wired in. That will make your job a lot easier. What a fun, inspiring name to consider developing.

Why do you keep buying domains to places you know nothing about?
Now you’re gonna set up some type of authority site on somewhere you’ve probably never even been to.
Makes no sense that some guy from NH owns and develops the main domain for the Fench Riviera.
***UPDATED BY ELLIOT***
First off, your assumption is incorrect, as I have been there as well as many other places in the world.
Secondly, why would this make no sense?
Thanks for the good laugh though.

Bob above is obviously ***, but you may have to start spending a lot of time in the south of France to develop this name properly.
