TRAFFIC Vancouver: Special Offer & Auction Picks
I am not attending the TRAFFIC Vancouver conference, but from some of the things I’ve heard, this is going to be one of the better domain conferences. Before I get to my picks for the live auction, I want to share a special TRAFFIC offer that was sent to me by JR Kavanagh of Kavanagh Limousine.
JR’s company is offering 20 percent off any limousine booking, which includes Stretch Limousines and Luxury SUV Limousines. They also can do airport drop offs, tours of Vancouver, as well as any night time debacles (call them for specific details about the debacles). Although there is usually a four hour minimum, it’s being dropped for TRAFFIC attendees to two hours. You can find out more about the company by visiting their website: BCLimo.ca.
JR also mentioned he might be interested in doing a unique trade of a domain name for limo time. If you want to discuss this more with him, send an email to vancouverlimos @ gmail.com.
Below are my picks for the auction (full list can be found on Proxibid.com):
- VisitJerusalem.com
- XYZ.com
- Snowboarders.com
- SenseOfHumor.com
- iRefills.com
- Houses.ca
- Helpers.com (I previously owned this one)
- GolfCourses.ca
- Disabled.com
- Dietician.com
- Candy.ca
- Principals.com
- Quilting.com
- Matchmakers.ca

This appears to be one of the worst inventories of domain names I can recall, maybe they will get some sales, but the list is really lacking a few ultra premium domains…

I agree with Don. Though it is several months off I have to imagine they might be holding back a few really big premium names for the South Beach Conference.
I am curious to see what the bidding action is like for irefills.com and iwithdraw.com. With Apple’s purchase of iOS.com it will be interesting to see if more speculation picks up in the space of names beginning with “i”.
I like frozenpizza.com just not at the price.

XYZ.com is cool and has already met reserve.
Cardiologists.com is interesting at a $xx,xxx reserve. Talk about a big-money medical field.
I would like Dietician.com a lot better if it were spelled right (though I understand this is a common misspelling).

Though outside your normal keyword thinking it is tough to find a one word empty vessel killer brandable like Symphony.net for such a low (Under $5K reserve). Seems like lots of possibilities with that one

I hope Latona’s auction is successful.
As for the guys saying the quality is not there. Many times the people commenting would never be a serious bidder anyway.

General comment to newbies -
Sometimes these companies knock down the door with a swat legal team. (ie, Microsoft)

How about a little disclosure Elliot
VisitJerusalem.com
Isn’t or wasn’t that your domain name. Funny how it is your top pick of the entire auction

@ doubter
No, this is not my domain name, has NEVER been my domain name, nor is associated with me whatsoever. I did not have a single domain name in the auction, and the last one I had in a live auction was January when I sold GunCollection.com at DomainFest.
Is the Whois Lookup not working for you or are you just a lazy POS?
I guess the later, since this isn’t even a private registration:
