What Are Your Top 5 Domain Names?
I think one thing is pretty universal when it comes to domain investors… we are all proud to own a few specific domain names. Without a doubt, I have a few favorite domain names among the 500 +/- domain names that I own.
Here are my top five domain names (you can see more on my website):
- EventManagement.com (would sell it)
- Torah.com (not for sale)
- Burbank.com (not for sale)
- SHS.com (not for sale)
- DogWalker.com (not for sale)
What are your top five domain names, and are they for sale?

you really need to learn alot in this industry, as you have already started blogging but still make elliot your mentor coz your name quality is much worse.

Jin - You Suck!
Jin,
I think RobbiesBlog.com happens to be a great blog.
The interviews are great and he covers the same type of stories like many others and also bring news before several other domainers.
His domains arent perfect buy lets see some of yours…
Thats the issue with this industry so many people want to tell people they suck at something when they dont have a clue themselves!

HybridRemote.com
Just started a twitter site and Youtube channel for HybridRemote, but I have too many websites in development. The VP of a chip manufacturer took the trouble to answer my questions, so it’s up to me to develop and explain, what is a hybrid remote, since the tech is up-and-coming.

If and when Apple comes out with all devices connecting to an Apple monitor large enough to act as a TV as well, then I’ll buy some toys. I might be waiting a long time. Then again, I might not. : \

I’m waiting.
And I’m rooting for Apple.
I bought a Samsung Smart TV 6500 series 46″ LED for $1.097.00 last week and returned it……the resolution, manual entry and the well…I’m waiting for Apple. : \

I like them.. Digital Board Game is a bit generic for it’s cause but it’s not bad. “MyMovieSet” sounds like a real PC game, one of those games where you create and shoto a movie with characters.. I bet there will be a company interested in that at some point.
HardTruths.com is definately catchy and easy to remember. That would make a nice ‘funny image’ blog, and you could make a twitter account to accompany it, which just posts “hard truths” lol.

Thanks for comment on Americans.us I have a half dream of making this one of the best social sites on the net….but it being a .us is a serious thorn.Potential is there if you committed a major crime, Then it was mentioned that you kept screaming it as you assaulted police officers…it would have probably 2230 visits in one day then collapse. I just stare at it and think of the possibilities. Thanks again for noticing this fine little domain Aussie…oh and don’t forget if you are down under you can’t legally own her….

Elliot, I have to say, I am absolutely DUMBFOUNDED …in fact, if I didn’t know any better, I’d swear I was being punked!!!!
I am absolutely riveted – well actually,
more like shocked and dismayed – by the
quantity and quality of replies to this
post.
Fully 98% of these names are of such
incomprehensibly poor quality as to defy
logic. 98% of these names have no commercial viability or value whatsoever – whether it be for resale; for development; or for any other conceivable purpose. (Hell, most of
these names would be utterly indefensible even if they had been acquired for no other purpose than “private entertainment” …for example, as part of some purely not-for-profit “collector’s hobby”)
I have to say I think this single post is perhaps a better barometer of the state of the domain industry than ANYTHING else I’ve read in the past year. Towards that end, I can’t help but think that the overwhelming majority of self-styled “domainers” that presently occupy the domain space have
absolutely no business being here.
October 19th, 2012 at 2:54 am
BullS
Chelsea…what makes you a BS expert in domains?
October 19th, 2012 at 10:46 am
Chelsea
BullS… the fact that you even feel compelled to ask that question – and cannot, yourself, independently assess the abysmal quality of virtually ALL of these domains – only serves to underscore my original thesis.
If you honestly can’t (or won’t) see it for yourself, then just take it for granted and trust me on this one!
Once again, fully 98% of these names are of such incomprehensibly poor quality as to defy logic, and have no commercial viability or value whatsoever. Period.
On the basis of that observation alone, it seems painfully obvious that the overwhelming majority of self-styled “domainers” who presently occupy the domain space really have no business being here …simply put, their interests would be vastly better-served pursuing other callings.
Don’t shoot the messenger…

I’m a relative amateur, but I started domaining in Jan 2011, and it’s been my sole means of support since then. I’ve managed to keep a roof over my head, put food on my table, pay my bills, and put money away, thank you very much. I think the mistake people make is thinking that it’s “easy money” when in fact it’s work! I put hours every day into research and learning. It’s like anything else, you get out of it what you put in.

I just looked at your number 1 domain listed: Kochi.com
27,100 exact global monthly searches on GAKT
“Kochi is a major port city on the west coast of India” according to Wikipedia
Population: 612,343 city, 2,117,990 metro
To me that suggests your first domain at least (didn’t look at the rest) is a solid investment.
People probably don’t know what your domains are, or they’re jealous, either way not worth worrying about.

Rohit
patti,
I can understand your frustration over these domains but I simply don’t understand what wrong I have done in just purchasing this domains, some of them I have purchased for more than 1k$(in lot)
Coming to the point I want to clarify to you and all that I have just purchased the domain and I don’t have any intention to develop any site AGAINST society.
molesting.net can be a blog where people can share about their problems(anonymously) they face and how they recover from it. It can be helpful and educational to people so that they don’t fall pray to any such situation.
Will you/anyone sue wikipidia for sharing this link (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sexual_abuse)?
I have another domain cocain.org which is under development where I would spread awareness about adverse effects of cocain and create a helpline for people who want to quit such harmful drugs and lead a normal life. Surely its a kind of non-profit
Am I doing anything wrong here? I would like you to comment or help me in improving this.
Think from the positive side, I can understand the negative side is like a dark well.
I have no intention of doing wrong so I am not worried about hiding my identity.
You talked about ICANN sending my details to authorities, Why would ICANN sell such domains If they want to sue persons purchasing these domains.
With due respect, thanks for talking time to review my domain.

I have to admit, until Rohit laid this out I didn’t know what patti knew that the rest of us didn’t. I know think she believes that he intended to use the domain molesting.net as some sort of site to promote molestation. Given her reaction, my guess is molestation has affected her life somehow.
I don’t know Rohit or what his intentions are with the site, but I think that until we know more, we should take his word for it that he intends to develop it as a self-help blog.
If that is the case, then I agree that the domain name is not ideal. “Molesting” infers the act is going on currently and is not a thing from he past. It also infers that the site visitor would be doing the molesting and is not a victim. A site for those victims of an act in the past would best be called “molested”, not “molesting”.
Rohit, given Patti’s reaction maybe others will have the same reaction, too. This may be a very inexpensive focus group study that helps you define a fla in your model. Be patient and consider other names.

hi patti,
i dont know you but different people have different thoughts.
the guy you wish to screw for Molesting.net may have bought that domain for speading social awareness regarding molestation at different scenarios. if that is the case then its a noble thought that guy is having.
dont just jump to conclusions on making new assholes on him, instead ask him first why he had that domain in the first place
