Work With a Domain Broker
Maybe it’s the economy or the holidays, but I have been receiving a lot of requests for domain brokerage services. I do not broker domain names. I would rather take on all of the risk if I think a name is well priced than use my connections to sell a name to possibly earn 10% of a sale.
It’s too much of a pain in the you know what to negotiate a sale between buyer and seller when there isn’t enough commission to make it worth the effort. I also have never wanted to create a domain sales newsletter, since many of those start out strong and seem to peter out after some amount of time due to poor names or high asking prices.
Never the less, there are a number of people who do broker domain names and are very good at what they do. Of course, the domain names most accept depends entirely on the quality and the price. If you are looking to sell a domain name, or if you want to buy a domain name with the services of a domain broker, here are a few people and companies that may be able to help:

I would also add Brian Berke of DomainStore.tv to that list.
Although most of his brokerage fees are 10%, he is higher for some of of his brokerage fees for sales in end user market. I don’t mind paying a higher commission if I can move some names when I’m in a pinch.
Brian has gotten results for me with Dot TV and Dot Com domains. He runs a very tight ship and is an excellent communicator. But don’t expect him to sell just anything as he is pretty selective especially for targeted end user sales of Dot Coms.
For the record I am just a satisfied customer and not affiliated with DomainStore.tv in any other capacity. I just feel if someone does a good job they deserve credit for it.

Recently, I have been thinking about potentially using Flippa, given their success with s9.com (I am not privy to how this sale was actually accomplished. On the positive side, their fee seems to be extremely low for premium domain sales ($100,000 and above). However, I did notice that they require exclusivity which is one of the reasons I am not active on their platform at this time.
Afternic is also a notable name absent from the list.

Elliot,
Thanks for including me in the list.
Here’s a couple general tips for people looking to sell domains.
1. We cannot work miracles. If you regged the domain recently… and I mean within the last few years, we probably can’t sell the domain for you but maybe I just speak for myself.
2. If you have GREAT domain at a REASONABLE price, we can sell it for you. A great domain has traffic. Simple as that really. If a domain doesn’t have traffic, who wants it? Very few domains sell on “potential” traffic. End user sales are a bit different since they are thinking more about branding or their niche.
3. Different brokers have different specialties and different criteria so email or call several brokers. If you don’t hear back, we’re not interested.
Me specifically…
I like acting as a domain buyer broker or selling to end users. Geodomains, geo+industry domains, product names, traffic and revenue domains and niche end user domains are what I can sell… and they must be OLD domains priced to sell.

@ Elliot – thanks for the love brother!
There has been a lot of interest lately and an increase supply of domains on the market, but I think that is normal before the end of the year and the holidays.
As Rob said above, there are no miracles, good domains with reasonable prices sell. If you’ve got names that most people would classify as good domains and most people would say the price is reasonable – send them over, we’d love to market them for you.
Our specialty is Ecommerce names (products & services) and Lead Generation names (insurance, credit, mortgage, education, law, security, etc…).
Also worth noting is that we have had tremendous success selling super premium .net & .org domains. In fact some of the sales we’ve made recently would blow your hair back, but unfortunately, most of our larger sales end up under NDA.
Thanks again Elliot.
@ Doc – thanks for the vote of confidence

Do any of these people broker CO domains?

@ Chris
Not sure, but I am sure that if they do, the names would have to be super premium like Business.co or Jobs.co to make it worth the effort.

Domain Agents is one I tried recently. I liked it because I got to control the negotiation myself.
