It’s cheap at $2mm from my perspective.

The annual market size globally would easily be well into the billions of dollars, makes me salivate just thinking about it.

Though the buyer would need to concentrate on making this a real business, just like they did w/ business.com to gain actual value.

It’s a once in a lifetime name for sure.

No wonder then that offers to my yoga names have started trickling in – yogarock.com yogac.com etc.

Agreed on the analysis on Brain.com. Yoga.com definitely is something more viable and also good time for visibility as well. We’ll see if they can hit their numbers. I wouldn’t see any reason from them to back away from the 7 figure number.

1. Yoga is one of the fastest growing segments in the lifestyle industries representing over 5 Billion Dollars in annual sales and over 80% growth in a down economy.
2. Is the universal word representing this industry in all languages.
3. Short, memorable, and easy to spell.
4. Delivers over 20 Million monthly searches on Google alone.
5. 70% of people who practice Yoga are college educated, and make over 50,000 USD dollars per year on average.

Due to these reasons and many others the Domain is listed at 2,000,000 USD.

Although Deepak Chopra did launch Deepak Yoga or something this week, his first yoga studio, of many to come, but he is better to brand under his name.

So that leaves one thing, much like what the company did with grandparents.com, just start a new company, and talk about everything yoga… Market, sell, license anything yoga you can find. Asking price will have to be 7 figures, just based purely on hype.

IMO, Brain.com is far less commercially viable than Yoga.com, which is why I posted this one and not that one. I am surprised at the rejected offers though. I reached out to the company to check on the price but haven’t heard back yet.

I agree and think it’s a 6 figure name personally. However, I don’t see a yoga studio buying it. I see a publisher or a big company in that field buying it and turning it into the yoga site online. They could have a paid directory and sell products…etc. Probably too rich for my blood.

How would a yoga studio pay 7 figures? The studios even with the teacher training aren’t exactly going to have all that money to churn out.. prob more like 6 figs

Brain.com is also up for sale by Domain Holdings. Regarding Yoga.com, the owner has informed me that they have rejected offers in the $2-4M range. They want to receive offers in the $5-7M range. This response was was 9 months ago, so things may have changed.
